In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. FAQs
Do i need experience to audition?
Not at all! We welcome people with all levels of experience and abilities!
does everyone get a role?
Yes, we will cast everyone! The only way to improve your talent in the performing arts is to continue performing! We do have lots of opportunities for volunteers for every show, so if you’re interested in being a part of it in another way, please let us know!
What makes you different from other theatres in the area?
Shore Talent Productions is the only theatre group that focuses on incorporating performers under the age of 18 into every show, while still allowing adults to play the adult roles! We feel it is important for young performers to learn to work alongside more experienced performers, as well as the chance to dive into bigger characters. Our combined approach ensures that every young performer that graces our stage leaves with a new understanding of theatre and increased confidence in themselves.
What should i bring to an audition?
If you have a resume & headshot, please bring those. If you don’t have a headshot any photo will do! If you don’t have any experience, just come with a smile & we’ll walk you through the whole process!
What ages are you looking for?
We cast based on “stage age,” meaning how old you look on stage. This means that adult roles will typically be played by adults or teens that can play that age, and children will typically be played by kids that appear that age, no matter how old they really are. If you’re unsure of your “stage age,” audition for the part anyway! You never know what vision a directors has.
